Kate & Scott - Say "I DO"

Merry Christmas everyone! Here is a little Christmas treat for you all - well actually it's a rather large Christmas treat filled with delicious vintage wedding goodness. ENJOY!!
Quite a while ago now I photographed Kimberley and Scott's wedding and Kate (who is Scott's sister was the bridesmaid). Today it was Kate's turn to get married to her very own Scott and they did it with the most amazing style. A real treat to photograph and I struggled to tear myself away from Kate's mum's house which was a character home filled with lots of lovely pieces that set of Kate's wedding finery. . .
A bouquet of brooches - unique and ever so pretty - love, love, love those sparkly brooches. They remind me of my Gran.
A beautiful touch - Dad's wedding ring was attached to the bouquet so that even though he's no longer with us he could still be close to his little girl on her wedding day.
Cute shoes - they were perfect with Kate's dress.

Aaahh!! At last - I tore myself away from all the accessories to photograph the leading lady.
Here they are - Scott and Kimberley - do you remember them?

The boys patiently waiting for the girls to arrive - with a spectacular harbour backdrop.
Pukehiki Church on the Peninsula - a perfect choice for a vintage wedding.

Off for the bridal party photos and down came the rain - only an hour before, it had been super hot and sunshiney - Dunedin weather can be a little fickle sometimes.

Local photographer Craig O'Neill has made this shot one of the most requested wedding poses for this season and his bridal car photos are amazing - so .... here's my take on it ....

Please note that in the interest of Health and Safety issues I was not driving when I took this photo.

The Southern Cross Hotel Heritage Room was perfect for all the cute vintage details Kate had organised.

The lolly bar - I love lolly bars - just quietly, I have one in my kitchen. I have restrained myself to only three jars though.

A very sweet ending to an extra sweet wedding of a super sweet couple.

Merry Christmas everyone and a happy NEW YEAR!! I have three more weddings in the "To Do" pile so no rest for me over the next two or three weeks. But I hope you all enjoy your holidays. A great big HUGE thank you to all the brides and grooms who have made 2013 such a great year for Lisa Reid Photography - the blog wouldn't be the same without you all!
