A 70th birthday is a great time to celebrate. It's also a great time for family to come together from near and far to see their Dad and help him celebrate his special day. And that's what this family did - but while they were at it they decided to take the opportunity get some family portraits done while everyone was home - and that's where I come in. I sat next to Les in my 5th form maths class - and on my other side was his best friend Rob (now my husband). We all hung out together for years (along with some other very special friends) and it's always great to catch up!
Rosie and Dillon - we sneaked away for a couple of warm up shots before we got down to the really serious stuff!
Dillon brought along Seb - more formally known as Sebastian - he used to long to Dillon's Mum and now he has found someone new to snuggle up to.
I love to photograph special "family members" like Seb.
The "birthday boy" and his lovely wife.
Rosie, Dillon and Daniel - a lovely grandparent moment.
Cousins - the first friends you ever have.
This is my favourite image from the day -
I like to think that if Neil ever decided to write a novel, then this would be perfect for the back cover.
Seb requested an individual pose - and how could I resist his cute little face?
Some quality Aunty time for Rosie.
Neil having some quality time with his toys.
Happy birthday Neil - I was honoured to spend the day with you and your lovely family.
It was so great to catch up.
