Quinn and Hunter - cute or what?

Hunter brought his little sister to meet me when she was a tiny little poppet only a few weeks old. He must have had fun last time because he's brought her back and now she's toddling around in her yellow gumboots and looking ever so cute. I have the best job in the world getting to hang out with fun little people like this, oh yeah, and their parents!! Actually their parents are great fun too and totally into photo shoots and cool ideas...images are almost edited, but thought I'd surprise you guys with a few tonight.

 How cute are these kids??

Hunter - the BIG brother...

Love the protective hand on Quinn's hood...

My FAVOURITE photo of the day - chubby cheeks and big blue eyes.

These parents are super cool - they climbed up into our haystack to get this - to be fair I thought I was pretty cool too as I was balancing on top of a farming implement getting the shot, it might have been a ridger, but then again it might not have been either.

Sweet treats to keep my models happy.

But when the sweet treats are done so are the smiles - my daughter Cierra actually stole this wee gem while I was packing my leaves back into their bag for another day.

A goodbye kiss!

Hope you liked this blog filled with cuteness.

Leesa & Jimmy - Engagement Session.

Winter seems to be almost over - the daffodils are springing up and there's the odd lamb or two arriving at our place so that seems to confirm that spring is just around the corner.
Time for things to be getting busy at Lisa Reid Photography and I've got some portrait sessions coming up for you and we're on the countdown to the first wedding of the season - only nine more sleeps to go.

First things first though - an engagement session with Leesa and Jimmy and their faithful friends. Check out Leesa's red leather jacket - gorgeous!!! They are getting married in April at Grandview Gardens so we stopped by there the other weekend and tried out some ideas.

Engagement sessions are a fantastic opportunity to work with your photographer prior to your big day, and a great idea if you are a little camera shy. You'll be so much more relaxed on your big day.

Leesa and Jimmy (and your doggie friends) I hope you enjoy our sneak peek. I'm looking forward to working with you again in April - weird to think that by then I'll have photographed another sixteen weddings and be almost at the end of another wedding season......

Did ya see THAT jacket??

Wedding Photography Inspiration.

A wee while ago - well actually it was quite a long while ago Becs from Rebecca McSkimming Photography and spent some time hanging out and looking for new locations for our brides.
This alley had to be one of our favourite spots.

Can't you just imagine a bride and groom casually leaning against the wall and looking super fabulous?

Favourite Things - # 4

Daffodils

After those cold wintery days and frosty mornings I always look forward to seeing the first daffodils arriving in my garden. They never fail to cheer me up, they are just so happy and sunny looking.
My fourth favourite thing just happens to be a gorgeous pot of flowering daffodil bulbs - a beautiful gift from my friend Nadene (I told you spoils me!!). The best part of this lovely pressie is that once the flowers finished I can plant the bulbs outside and can enjoy them again next year, and the year after....

Thank You so very much for some sunshiney cheer to brighten up my day. Xox

Favourite Things - # 3

In our family we put out sugar syrup and birdfeeders in the winter to attract the birds to our garden and help them through those frosty days of winter. Making birdfeeders with pinecones, dripping, seeds, peanut butter and jam is very messy, especially when I have enthusiastic helpers on hand.
But it's one of my favourite things to look out the window and see the wax eyes, bellbirds and tuis enjoying their treats.

Sweet Sixteen

Tayla's sixteenth birthday was a perfect opportunity to celebrate a milestone with a mini photo session. I am so glad we did. Tayla rocked the super model look and was completely at ease. She didn't even flinch at the chilly winter weather - a true professional.
Happy Birthday Tayla - you are just GORGEOUS!!

My Favourite Things - Part 2

Misty Mornings.

Dark shadows of trees surrounded by swirling mist and a crispness in the air. Our world looks so different and mysterious - I love misty mornings.

These are a Few of My Favourite Things - Part ONE.

The countdown is on to wedding season again - 31 days to go and time to get the camera warmed up again. To do this I've set myself a wee project for August, photographing my favourite things. Firstly, it will be good to get my camera out every day and secondly, it will help everyone out there to know me just a little better.

Of course I had to start with two of my VERY favourite things....my girls - and they're ready for bed too.   Bliss!! Two little girls tucked up in bed and sound asleep, my favourite kind of girls!
