The Princess Bride ... Emma and Craig's Wedding.

Once upon a time there was a beautiful princess who wanted her handsome prince to buy her a castle. The prince, unfortunately for the princess, was familiar with equal opportunities for women and suggested that while that may have been fine last century, in these modern times it was quite acceptable for the princess to buy her own castle.
Well, although Emma didn't manage to buy her own castle she did manage to borrow one for her wedding day - and I'm SO glad she did. I was in photographers heaven working with them up at the beautiful ruins of Cargill's Castle. It's not open to the public so we were very lucky to be able to use it for these photos....
Thank you so much to Emma and Craig for organising such a gorgeous day and especially for asking me to be there too. You guys are the best!

Beautiful pearls belonging to Emma's grandmother that each family member gets to wear on their wedding day - I just love traditions like this.

Even this little handbag was fit for a princess...

Wow Emma - so beautiful - that Craig is one lucky guy!
Rebecca and Tessa, Emma's little sisters were on hand to do bridesmaid duties and such beautiful bridesmaids they were too.

Chingford Stables - fabulous for a wedding - indoors or out and a perfect backdrop for some amazing vintage cars.
My new best friend Harley - he is very good at driving cars as you can see. Very impressive for a five year old.

Too cute - rattling and clanging  from one end of Dunedin to the other .
Check out Cargill's Castle - it must have been magnificent in it's day. But even as a ruin it is stunning. All the best to The Cargill's Castle Trust and their aim to raise enough money to repair it to a stage where it can be opened to the public and its history can be celebrated.

It started raining on our way to the castle but we put up our umbrellas and toughed it out, okay we might have got a little damp but it was worth every minute.

Love, love love this shot - one of my favourites!

And then the sun started to peek out and what do ya know... a rainbow.... just to top off a great day.

Hope you enjoyed this HUGE blog filled with all things stunning and gorgeous. Once again I am reminded that even though I sometimes have to work in the rain, I have the best job ever.
All the best to Emma and Craig - and a special thanks to Harley - you were awesome!
Can't wait for you to see the rest of your photos.
