When I first met Anna, I had no idea that she was the little sister of a boy I have known since my playcentre days. It was such a privilege to meet up with this family again many, many years later.
Anna and Brendon have been together FOREVER. Years and years and years...... as you can imagine it has been eagerly awaited by their families and there was much excitement once their wedding day finally rolled around. "Good things take time" and this is a GREAT thing so it was bound to take a little longer than usual. And in my opinion it was well worth the wait for everyone - what an absolutely gorgeous wedding. Perfection!! This was one of those weddings where I was in a photographer's dream - and I LOVED every moment of it. Go on..... have a look, I know you can't wait!
... and then off to all things pretty...
Something old.... Anna's grandma's beautiful watch. A real treasure, especially as she passed away recently leaving a huge gap in the family. So precious to be able to have a little part of her at the wedding.
Anna - looking stunning
Some special family memories.....love moments like these.
Here comes the bride - travelling in style - picture perfect!
Lookout Lodge near Wanaka was fantastic and I highly recommend it as a wedding venue.
Mr Taylor - have you ever seen a father as proud as this one - I don't think so.
Introducing Tom - Anna's nephew and now he has an Uncle BJ too. Such a cutie!
Does Brendon look nervous to you? Maybe, just a little. This is Lynne Greer, their amazing celebrant. I love working with her. She puts together the most perfect ceremonies. There is always the story of how the bride and groom met, the proposal and she also finds out what it is each one loves about the other and then shares it on the day. Beautiful. And I think Brendon is thinking that his girl scrubs up pretty well and that he's a very lucky guy!
Being in charge of the rings is a HUGE responsibility - you have to take it very seriously.
I think I'd like to do some more weddings in Wanaka - that scenery is stunning!
We wanted some photos on the pier and had to shoo some little boys away. They were diving off the end into the lake. I felt bad about spoiling their fun but I think in the name of a good photo opportunity sacrifices have to be made - thanks boys - we really appreciate it!
A beautiful bride and a handsome groom, two fantastic families, a stunning venue in one of the most breath-taking corners of the world and a sprinkling of cuteness and you have the makings of a very happy photographer. Anna and Brendon - your day was amazing and I want to wish you much love, happiness and fun together as husband and wife. Definitely worth the wait!
